The current modus operandi of construction is too often ‘demolish-replace’. OMNIBUS is consulting on a 3-flats building in Switzerland to find new ways of making homes affordable, comfortable, and durable.

The project envisions a literal thermal envelope that works as an extension of the building to reach the available FAR regulations with additional floor and exterior spaces. The project relies on the 3 principles: 1) an in-depth research of the origins of the existing and proposed building materials, 2) design for disassembly , and 3) low-cost for low-rent.
