After convincing the client not to demolish a banal chalet-house in Obwalden, OMNIBUS joined forces with Blanka Major to develop a renovation-extension —with as less extraction as possible. The project is currently in the pre-project permission phase. The project is as much about convincing the construction milieu that demolition is the least viable option, as it is for OMNIBUS’s partner Charlotte Malterre-Barthes (author of the initiative ‘A Moratorium on New Construction’) to check how practicalities of non-building play out against prospective work.
